State Refund Tracker is an independent website that helps people find the official tool for checking a state income tax refund and understand what state tax agencies say about timing. We are not a government agency, and we are not affiliated with any state tax agency, the IRS or any tax preparation company.
How we research this site
Every state page is built from the state agency's own refund pages. For each state we record the name of the official tool, the information it asks for, the timeframes and contact details the agency publishes, and the date we reviewed them. When an agency does not publish a fixed timeframe, we say so instead of guessing.
What we do not do
- We do not look up or access your refund.
- We do not ask for your Social Security number or any tax return information.
- We do not charge for access to official tools, and we do not offer to speed up a refund.
- We do not provide tax, legal or financial advice.
Corrections
Agencies update their pages. If something here is out of date, please tell us through the contact page and include the state and the official page that shows the change. We review corrections promptly.
